Privacy Policy

The short version

This policy explains what information the Islamic Tabu app ("the App") handles and why. The App is made by Omer Kocar ("we", "us"). By using the App you agree to this policy.

1Information we collect

We don't ask you for personal information. The App has no accounts, no login and no contact forms.

Stored on your device only. Player and team names you type, your chosen language, round time, pass limit, sound and vibration settings, and which decks you've unlocked are saved on your device so the game remembers them. They are never sent to us. Deleting the App deletes them.

Collected automatically. The game engine (Unity) and the app store may collect limited technical information, such as:

This information isn't linked to your name or identity and is used only to keep the App working well.

Anonymous card statistics. If Card Stats is on, the App sends anonymous totals per card after a game: how often it was shown, guessed, passed or lost to a taboo word, how long it took, and the game's language. No name, team name, account, device ID or advertising ID is included. The totals are used only to improve the cards. You can turn this off in Settings > Card Stats; totals not yet sent are deleted when you do.

2In-app purchases

The App may offer optional in-app purchases for extra decks. Where it does, all payments are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We never see or store your payment or card information. The store tells the App which decks you own so it can unlock them and restore them on a new device.

3How we use information

The limited information above is used only to:

We don't use your data for advertising or marketing, and we don't sell it.

4Data sharing

We share limited technical data only with the service providers the App relies on to run: Apple and Google for purchases, Google for storing the anonymous card statistics, and Unity Technologies for the game engine. Each of them handles data under its own privacy policy. We don't share data with anyone else.

5Children's privacy

Islamic Tabu is a family game and is safe for players of all ages. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). Purchases go through the store's own parental controls. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

6Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access or delete personal data about you. Since the App keeps your information on your device, you can remove it at any time by deleting the App. You can also limit data collection through your device's privacy settings. For any request, email us.

7Data security

We take reasonable measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
