How to play
One phone, two teams, and words that get a little harder to explain than usual.
Pass the phone
One player from the describing team holds the phone. Everyone else on that team is guessing out loud.
Describe, don't say
Each card has a word and five forbidden words under it. Get your team to guess the word without saying any of the five, or gesturing them out.
Correct, pass or tabu
Team guessed it? Tap Correct. Stuck? Tap Pass, up to your limit. Slipped and said a forbidden word? Tap Tabu yourself, honor system, and move on.
Score as you go
Every card played is tallied live, so the round-end screen and the running score are never a surprise.
Correct
Adds a point to the describer's team and moves to the next card.
Pass
Skips a stuck card. Passes are limited, set it in the lobby before you start.
Tabu
Called on yourself the moment a forbidden word slips out. No point, straight to the next card.
The decks
Round time and pass limit are both yours to set, from a quick sprint to a long, forgiving round.

When can I download it?
Islamic Tabu is in the final stretch of App Store and Google Play review. This page will get a download button the moment it's live. Write to us below and we'll let you know as soon as it ships.
How does scoring work?
Whoever is holding the phone describes cards to their own team. Each Correct adds a point for that player, tallied under their name on the round-end screen, and the team's total is the sum of its players.
What happens if I say a forbidden word?
It runs on the honor system: the describer taps Tabu themselves the moment a forbidden word slips out. The card is lost with no point, and the game moves straight to the next one.
How many players do I need?
Two teams and one phone is enough. Add every player's name in the lobby; the game rotates the phone to the next describer after each round automatically.
How do I change the language?
Tap the gear icon on the main screen and pick English, Türkçe or العربية. The cards and menus change language together.
I found a wrong or unclear word.
Please tell us. Every word and its forbidden list is checked by hand, and we'd much rather fix a mistake than keep it. Send the word, the deck and the language it appeared in.
